Hello Families, Our area’s Family Honor team will be at the Saint Leo Home and School Meeting on Monday, February 16th at 7:00 pm to talk more about Family Honor and their programs, specifically the program that will be offered in the spring entitled “Real Love, Real Life”. All are invited to come and learn about this ministry. Even if your children are not at the middle school level, the information can be helpful in planning for their future. “Real Love and Real Life” is being held on Tuesdays, April 21, 28, May 5, and 12 in St. Mary’s. Real Love & Real Life Teaches parents and adolescents to build a better family life by learning to communicate, anticipate and deal with changes. This is a 4 session program, that meets once per week for 4 weeks in a row, on the same night each week, for 2 hours each session. For parents with their 7th or 8th grade son or daughter. Topics include: fertility appreciation, learning about appropriate future dating behavior (as in older teens), developing values and responsibilities in the family, the changes in adolescence, and much more. Skits, role play, video clips, small group-breakouts, parent-child focused time, and audience participation make this a fast-paced and interesting program for both parents and adolescents. |
